In Mexico you would think that there is no racism towards fellow Mexicans but it hides in the shadows and it's there but you don't see it. The men and woman selling food on the side of the street vending ice cream and cleaning your home have you ever noticed anything? They are all dark skinned and are less privileged than others . The other side to this is the business owners , educated , landowners, and people you see in high level jobs they are all light skinned Mexicans. They are treated differently from each other they are not given the same chances and rights that the light skinned have and mexico's economy is growing and faster than the USA's and are moving up but the majority of the people in mexico can not live up to their full potential and can not move up. They are not given a chance an opportunity to have the privileges the light skinned have they are held back by the limitations that the society set for them and they're loop will never break unless they do something. Mexico may be moving forward but there treatment towards people is not.
In America today the white is the dominate race and the one that you see in top tier jobs and the ones being privileged and able to do more. The blacks are stereotyped as the ones that come out to become muggers or killers but that's not how it is they may be less privileged because of the stereotypes people put on them changes the way they are treated. Any race can be a killer but society is know for saying that the African Americans are. They are looked at and treated differently. The whites will never feel how societies minorities feel on a daily basis and they are never going to get accused, looked at, and arrested for just walking down a street or driving a car they are not going to accuse them of stealing it but sadly a African american would. This is what is wrong in today's society. In the article they talked about an incident where a old white lady went and slapped the one out of 13 African Americans there out of the 60 people in total. The lady that was slapped did not want to make a scene or give the lady what she wanted to show how she reacts just because she's black and that's what they do make a scene or start a fight. But she was the better person and walked out without saying anything.
Both these articles talked about how in their own countries there are some struggles with racism but they are more aggressive in the us and it's a problem in mexico that it is just getting pushed away and forgotten about because the people in power are light skinned and they don't see it as a problem but maybe not for them.
